Rhodes snorkeling: three boats, three coasts

Rhodes snorkeling is easiest from a boat, and the three trips here start from different parts of the island. One leaves from Vlycha Beach near Lindos, one from the harbour entrance at Kamiros Skala on the west coast, and one from the harbour in Rhodes Town. Each provides snorkeling gear, so bring swimwear and a towel.

The Lindos cruise lasts 3 hours and costs €55. The marine biologist cruise from Kamiros Skala also takes 3 hours and costs €81. The small-group boat to Anthony Quinn Bay takes 2.5 hours and costs €55. All prices are per person and current as of November 2026.

Lindos swim and snorkel cruise

This is the easy-going option: three hours on the water below the acropolis of Lindos. The cruise starts in the middle of Vlycha Beach, and pickup is available if you choose that option when booking.

Snorkeling gear, fresh fruit, wine, beer, soft drinks and cocktails are included, all for €55 per person. For the village itself, see our Lindos guide.

Dolphin watching and snorkeling with a marine biologist

The €81 cruise is the one for people who want to understand what they are looking at. You meet at the harbour entrance at Kamiros Skala. Snorkeling gear, snacks, refreshments and underwater photos are included. The boat goes to Makri for the dolphins, then to Stroggyli for guided snorkeling, and back via Makri.

No snorkeling experience is needed and going into the water is optional. Non-swimmers are offered life jackets and supervision. If the weather is unsafe, the trip is rebooked or refunded. The dolphins are wild, so sightings are never guaranteed. The trip runs from May to the end of October, depending on weather, in morning and afternoon slots. It is not recommended if you are prone to seasickness.

Snorkeling at Anthony Quinn Bay and the sea caves

Anthony Quinn Bay is the pine-fringed cove that most visitors have on their list, and this 2.5 hour trip stops there, then at Ladiko Bay, the Alikies caves and Traganou Bay. Each stop lasts 20 minutes. Groups are limited to nine people, and the boat departs from the harbour in Rhodes Town.

Snorkeling equipment, life jackets and waterproof phone cases are included. Bring a towel, swimwear and comfortable shoes. Large bags are not allowed on board, and the trip is not suitable for wheelchair users. If you would rather swim from the beach, our beaches guide covers the bays by road.

Which Rhodes snorkeling trip suits you?

Choose Lindos for the scenery and an all-inclusive afternoon at €55. Choose the Kamiros Skala cruise for dolphins and a guide who can name the fish, at €81. Choose the Anthony Quinn Bay boat for the sea caves and a small group at the same €55 as Lindos. Our weather guide shows the sea season, and our tours overview lists the other boat days, including Symi.
